Oil once a month or every 100 hours. Take off the cap and push down the piston, oil around the square of the piston and around the hexagon. Also put some oil in the oval hole above the needlebar pin to lubricate the inner piston. Run it for a minute and work the adjustment. Wipe off any excessive oil. This oil is included with the purchase of every machine.
